Happy Good Friday everyone! One thing I love about Easter is the beautiful pastel colours like pinks, purples (my favourite colours). It’s such a refreshing time of year and the time to bring out the coloured eyeshadow palettes!

I was inspired by the Spring season to create a soft glam look using the HUDA Beauty Nude Obsessions Palette-Light. This palette has gorgeous hues of pinks, purples, and nude shades that come in matte and shimmer. I find the colours really compliment brown eyes, which is why I had to purchase it.
The entire line of HUDA Beauty Obsessions mini palettes retails for $37 CAD each at Sephora. In my opinion, this is pretty reasonable for 9 pans and they do last a while. I’ve bought palettes for $50+ that aren’t as good as this one, so I was pretty impressed by the quality for this price.
The pink outside packaging is beautifully designed with snakeskin textured material on the top. The mini palette has 9 different shades. 5 matte shades and 4 shimmer shades. It comes in a very cute compact packaging with a mirror. I love that its lightweight and easy to travel with in my purse.
This HUDA Beauty Palette did not disappoint. I love the pigmentation of the matte colours. Even on my darker complexion, they still show up very well. The shimmers are buildable, but in my opinion, not as pigmented as the matte colours. So I usually spray my eyeshadow brush with a setting spray to just before going into the shimmer pans. I find this gives the shimmer something to adhere to and gives a better finish on the eyes. I also love that there’s not a lot of fallout from these shadows.
My Final Thoughts
Definitely would repurchase this palette as I’m a lover of nude shades. I would give it a 4/5 just because the shimmers aren’t as pigmented as the matte shades, but I honestly can’t make any major complaints about this palette. I’m anxious to try the rest of the HUDA Beauty Nude Obsessions palettes to see how well the shades compliment my skin tone.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have wonderful Easter weekend!
