My Favourite Cleansing Balms

Double cleansing is one of the best things you can incorporate into your nighttime skincare routine. Double cleansing involves the use of an oil-based cleanser (a cleansing balm or oil) followed by a water based facial cleanser. The purpose of a using a cleansing balm is to remove all dirt, product, and makeup from your face which allows your water based facial cleanser to clean your face thoroughly. Cleansing balms have become a stable in my skincare routine. I love how gentle they are to the skin and the benefits of hydration they offer while taking off your makeup. I’d like to share with you some of my favourite cleansing balms that will have your skin feeling and looking amazing.

Glow Recipe- Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm

I recently tried this cleansing balm and fell in love with it immediately. It’s a thicker formula, so I use it on the days I wear heavier makeup. It begins to break up the makeup as soon as you rub it into your skin. When you add water, it emulsifies the cleansing balm and dissolves the makeup. Because it’s a thick formula, it’s easier to use a makeup remover cloth than to rinse it off.

Juno & Co.- Clean 10 Cleansing Balm

I discovered this cleansing balm through a TikTok makeup influencer. She raved about it so I knew I had to give it a try. This cleansing balm is rated bestseller on their site, and for good reason! I love how gentle it is on my skin but still does the job to remove my stubborn waterproof makeup. It also has benefits of reducing the appearance of dark spots. It leaves my skin feeling super soft, moisturized and smooth. I highly recommend trying this cleansing balm if you’re looking for a one.

Indeed Laboratories- Watermelon Melting Balm

I was gifted this cleansing balm in a PR package from this company and was shocked how well it worked on my skin. I honestly use this cleansing balm the most because it leaves my skin feeling super clean but not stripped. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend this as it’s fragrance free and has a vegan formula. An added plus is a little goes a long way, so it lasts a very long time.

Clinique- Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm

Clinique’s cleansing balm is one of the very first I tried. I talked about it in a previous post and how it just melts into an oil as soon as you rub it in. I love how lightweight the formula is and how it dissolves my makeup instantly. It leaves my skin moisturized but not greasy.

Elmis- Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm

Like all Elmis products, this one is a bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth every coin in my opinion. This cleansing balm feels luxurious on my skin and the smell makes you feel like you’re in a day spa. It starts off like an oil on the skin but feels so milky on the skin which gives maximum hydration. Even though it’s on the expensive end, it lasts forever!

You won’t regret using one of my favourite cleansing balms. Out of the many cleansing balms I’ve tried, I’ve found these to be the most effective, moisturizing and gentle on my skin. I encourage you to try these out if your looking for a new cleansing balm or just started to incorporate double cleansing into your daily routine.
